SurveillanceGRID Joins Shooter Detection Systems, LLC as Authorized Dealer

SurveillanceGRID Integration, Inc., the premier provider of IP-surveillance systems in Silicon Valley, today announced that they have expanded their portfolio of state-of-the-art "Seamless Security" solutions to include leading edge security technology, called The Guardian Indoor Active Shooter Detection System, to alert occupants, security personnel, and Law Enforcement to gunshots fired inside a facility.

The Guardian, developed by Shooter Detection Systems, LLC (SDS), the world leader in gunshot detection technologies, was developed from military outdoor and soldier-worn gunshot detection systems that have been protecting our soldiers, and more recently critical infrastructure such as power utilities, from sniper attack. "When my children came home one day and told me they had an active shooter drill at school, it really hit home for me. I realized that we had a solution to help a growing problem right in front of us," said Christian Connors, SDS Founder and CEO. "Indoor acoustics present different challenges and we knew that an acoustic-only solution would false alert in an indoor environment, so we added both finely tuned acoustic microphones and infrared technology to validate a positive gunshot alert, reducing false alerts to zero in over twelve million hours of installed time across many environments. There are endless opportunities for schools, corporations, municipalities and other businesses interested in our technology in Silicon Valley alone, and with SurveillanceGRID's installation and integration experience, we are confident that they will provide the high level of service that our customers have come to expect."

"We are excited to work with such a proven company as Shooter Detection Systems," says SurveillanceGRID Integration Inc.'s CEO Warren Hackbarth. "Their product integrates easily into security systems such as video surveillance, access control and mass notification systems to reflect real world conditions with minimal human interaction and allow for actionable intelligence to an active shooter incident to make rapid, high quality intervention decisions. We look forward to adding the Shooter Detection Systems' application to our "Seamless Security" security layer architecture."

SDS' products are currently installed in municipalities, schools, government facilities, energy facilities and corporations nationwide. Adding the Guardian gunshot detection to their portfolio allows SurveillanceGRID to provide a comprehensive set of security technologies to their customers, including video surveillance, video analytic technology, radar, and "Autonomous Pole" systems.

Shooter Detection Systems is the world leader in indoor gunshot detection technology. Developed in conjunction with the Defense Advanced Research Products Agency (DARPA) and a major defense contractor, SDS' gunshot detection systems utilize the most advanced and proven shooter detection technologies available in the commercial market.
